Dartington Village Hall wrapped in wool

A lovely sunday afternoon photographing the opening of Dartington village hall for the Transition network, after its insulation makeover which has been going on the last few months, with sheeps wool cladding and pucker windows. Funded by a grant and project managed by the TTT Transition streets group. Ribbon cutting… cream teas, doesn’t get more English and lovely.

I spent six months last year researching and filming for a new movie just released at the Gaurdian festival in February about the Transition Network, you can see the film page here born in Totnes and now a global movement . From Favellas in Brazil to post earthquake support in Newzealand the transition network is about local people taking control in manageable chunks to move towards a more resilient post oil future. Itsabout resilience and working as a community. So a sunny afternoon cream tea had a much deeper resonance when its connected to all the work thats happening locally and globally .http://www.transitionnetwork.org/
